Thought Leaders are Innovators.
I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Stockton University in December 2010. In addition to my major degree, I also minored in Education with a concentration in child development, Math, LAL and History. It is my passion to work with individuals and organizations to help them succeed.
I began my career as a teacher working in early education to high school students. I soon learned my students had challenges at home that affected their willingness to learn in school. As most educators know, you wear many hats as a teacher in the classroom and it was my desire to address those challenges to set my students up for success. I later transitioned into social work as a Care Manager for at-risk youth involved in the New Jersey Children’s System of Care (CSOC). I provided coordination of services to children, families and individuals with mental health, behavioral challenges, complex medical conditions, and disabilities including Autism.
My case management experience has allowed me to understand individuals with complex or multiple chronic disorders and identify their needs to provide the proper resources and clinical support using a holistic, nurtured-heart and wrap-around approach. This same concept has allowed me to apply the same fundamentals when facing complex challenges in the workplace including corporate and non-profit organizations. I have taken the initiative in every role I’ve had to think strategically when thinking about the success of the organization. My role as a Care Manager has allowed me to develop strong skills in creating plans and developing strategies, identifying the strengths and needs, to help execute those plans into success. I also have a proven ability to take an idea from conception-to-completion when developing products or solutions for a great user experience.
Additionally, I built a startup business developing interactive products for children and families to help bridge the gaps by solving a complex problem to help bring families closer together through play. I launched the product on Kickstarter in May 2017. Within a 30-day project period, I exceeded my goal by 110% generating over $7,500 in sales. The product was manufactured in China, and I successfully delivered the product to consumers by Christmas as promised.
In addition to my academic and work experiences, I possess a tremendous amount of patience, discipline and organizational skills. I possess excellent interpersonal communications talents and strong time management skills which have allowed me to meet goals and deadlines in a timely manner. Additional Skills Include: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, problem solving, comfortable with change, risk taker, inspiration to others, thought leadership and systems thinker.
